    Introducere: Rezecţia hepatică este tratamentul de elecţie pentru majoritatea leziunilor focale hepatice benigne şi maligne, şi în cazuri selecţionate de traumatisme hepatice. Puţine alte metode terapeu- tice pot egala eficienţa rezecţiei hepatice în cazuri selecţionate, cum ar fi transplantul hepatic pentru carcinom hepatocelular şi terapiile de ablaţie tumorală pentru carcinomul hepatocelular sau metastaze de mici dimensiuni.
